El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary

The El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary is a fantastic unique experience that will let you and any animal lover traveling with you enjoy a something you are unlikely to see at home. Head to the El Quelele Estuary – or go to the gatehouse and transportation will be arranged for you – where the El Cora Crocodile Sanctuary is located.  There, you can take a guided tour on which you’ll get information from veterinarians and specialized biologists.  You’ll be able to see wildlife throughout your whole tour and may even be able to feed the crocodiles if you’re there at the right time.

Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens in Puerto Vallarta are world famous.  Its plant and animal life can e found along the southern shore of the city.  Take a guided tour if you want to get the best experience from this highly rated option among Nayarit travel activities.  Keep in mind that this is no simple 20 minute tour.  You’ll need between five and seven hours.  That said, it’s a comfortable tour as you’ll travel to the various locations you’ll be exploring via air conditioned buses. You’ll also enjoy a delicious meal at the award-winning Hacienda de Oro restaurant. You may also take part in additional activities such as making your own vanilla extract and swimming in a river.

Zip Lining

If you’ve never gone zip lining before, then this is a great opportunity for you.  If you have already gone, then you’ll know why this is not a Nayarit travel activity you should miss. This one takes you soaring along as fast as 30 miles per hour over top of the jungle canopy.  Once you’re done, relax by a tropical river and/or check out the local tequila bar.  This is all a part of the zip lining tour.  If you’re hungry, don’t worry, the riverfront restaurant serves delicious and authentic Mexican food.
