Over the last 12 months, Villas Estrella has seen a fascinating transformation. When it became evident that the original 17 year old paint job was becoming a liability, we looked for a new approach to add fresh wonder and charm to this beautiful place. The old terracotta colour was so faded, and frankly we were getting bored with it.

We embarked into the world of colour charts,  dozens of mexican house books, design magazines. Drives came to a screeching halt so I could photograph a particular colour scheme. There were endless debates,discussions and arguments.

One day, there rode into our lives a knight in shining armour. His name was Noel!
