Don’t Miss This Year’s Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica for Top Chef Delicacies
Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica is primed and ready to go for another year. In 2019, the tag line of the event is “We have a story to tell.” Not only is this an exciting theme, but it also tops off the fact that this year celebrates the eleventh anniversary of the event.
Announcing the Big Names
At the end of August, Carlos Elizondo and Consuelo Elipe, the organizers and directors of the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica event, held a press release in which they outlined the evolution of the festival. It began as nothing more than a training seminar. Since that time, it developed into one of the world’s leading festivals. Each year, it changes a little more as it showcases Latin America’s culinary latest and greatest.
Getting Ready for the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica
The Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta are already preparing for Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica which runs from September 29 through October 3, 2019. During this eleventh festival under the name, there will be 36 top chefs participating. Among them include leading names with recognition such as many Michelin Stars and Soles Repsol. Moreover, they are also among those with leading spots in The 50 Best Restaurants and Top Chefs. Also present will be mixologists, sommeliers and world-class speakers.
Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) and Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau president, Jesús Carmona Jiménez, underscored the importance of gastronomy as a central component of the effort to place the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta in the spotlight. He encouraged the ongoing partnership between the two Pacific coast locations, particularly following the closure of the Mexico Tourism Board.
“The region has so much to offer, diversity, events, etc., but now we need to celebrate and promote our gastronomy,” said Jesús Carmona Jiménez.
Keeping True to the Spirit of the Festival
The Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica has not lost the spirit by which it was originally created. Its focus has always been placed on cooking demonstrations, premium tastings, sampling, gourmet workshops, an expo area, a segment of GastronomiKids, wine-pairing dinners and other special events. This festival is also adding something new by using the events to solidify business alliances and draw attention to important industry topics.
If you’re staying at Villa Estrella at this time of year, the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica is a festival you simply cannot miss. Keep your eyes open for Master Chef host on TV Azteca Anette Michel, gastronomy and wine specialist and radio show host Eddy Warman, gastrocoaching founder and Mesón Fuencarral owner Ramón Dios, and Food & Travel México editorial director and partner Cecilia Núñez, among other top names.
